Tea Time Saturday
An Easy-Jet boeing
going South
sneaks from cloud to cloud.
While down here at
Mersey level
It is teatime, Saturday.
And the ferries are in
a rush to dock,
home for scones and tea
Isle of Man Steam Packet
Sea-Cat sweeps
waves aside with three hulls.
Pacific and Oriental
wriggles stern
through the sea-lock gates.
And Brave Merchant's
Doubling home
from Dublin, roll off ready.
Wallasey is bathed
with suns shine,
Liverpool pierhead lashed
With Rain, teatime
Saturday.
